A few of the rejuvenation procedures offered include:
–Botox: Utilized for mild to moderate wrinkles on the forehead, frown lines and crows feet. It is a versatile tool to change the expression of a person by selectively balancing the application in certain areas to give a more refreshed appearance.
–Fillers: (Juvederm,Voluma, Restalyne, Perlane, Sculptra): Utilized to fill larger structures on the face such as cheek bones, Lips and deep folds such as the nasal-labial fold and pronounced brow lines. When properly used, it can give the effect of a “liquid Facelift”
–Laser: A variety of lasers are utilized for diverse purposes. There are two large groups. The ablative and non-ablative. The first is applied by a physician and is utilized to resurface the face and remove wrinkles as well as reduce pore size. It also has an effect on collagen production, which rejuvenates the skin and helps to produce a lifting effect. The non-Ablative laser is utilized for a variety of things, such as evening the tone of the skin; superficial skin peels to maintain the skin appearing new and radiant, red and brown spots, removal of tattoos, Hair removal.
–IPL : (Intensed pulsed light or BBL:Broadband Light: This modality is utilized to even the tonality of the skin and actually has a rejuvenating effect on the skin. It targets red areas where blood vessels are visible and prominent and brown spots. Typically treatments are done in series every week to 3 weeks for a total of 6 treatments at a time. it acts as a maintenance treatment .
–PRP : (Platelet-Rich-Plasma): This treatment utilizes the blood of the patient and then centrifuges it. Platelets are separated and typically concentrated to 5 fold the amount normally found in blood. Platelets contain a great deal of growth factors that have been utilized for many things in medicine. In plastic surgery, it is utilized as a rejuvenating serum that is injected in the skin and improves the quality of the skin and has many other uses. An example of this is the treatment of dark circles around the eyes which often respond to treatment with PRP.
